“Dear Students,
I would like to bring your attention to a report by TODAY on a
ragging incident at ACJC which was featured in STOMP.”
oh come on! its STOMP. everyone knows stomp is singapore’s version of failblog.
its pass october 25 so i’m supposed to have cleansed my blog of anti-school material.
yeah….
just saw the psb message
“Dear all,
I am Jordan Lim Zhen Yang from 3SMTP4. I am writing this message to
propose the lifting of the ban of card games especially poker cards in
school.
I know the school has its reasons to ban poker cards in school. Let me
list down the reasons and I will then propose some solutions.
Firstly, poker cards are associated with gambling and it has a bad
reputation.
Secondly, if visitors see us playing poker cards, it may leave them
with bad impressions of our school.
Poker cards can be used to play a variety of games ranging from
Blackjack to Bridge. Games such as Blackjack should be banned as they
are not mentally challenging and it is purely based on luck and its
only purpose is for gambling.
However, games such as Bridge should not be banned as it is
challenging mentally and it trains our minds. It benefits the players
and it is similar to chess. If chess is allowed, why should poker
cards be banned? Poker card games also allow students to relax and
enjoy themselves after grueling lessons.
The main problem is the association with gambling. But if it is looked
at from a different perspective, anything that involves a winner and a
loser can be used for gambling. Even games like scissors-paper-stone
can be used for gambling where the loser pays the winner a sum of money.
Therefore, poker cards should be allowed in places such as the CSE hub
and classrooms as it is where visitors seldom frequent.
Poker cards and many other card games are good for the players’ minds
and I feel that the ban on these games should be lifted in some areas
of the school for students to play these games.
Thank you.
Yours Sincerely,
Jordan Lim

DUMB.
i thought our sec ones get worse every year. didnt realise our sec 3s are already bad enough.
no class no index number 15 fail endorsers ><.
honestly, what is cse teaching these students.
“Outsiders who observe students playing with poker cards and walk away with wrong impressions are at fault for forming those wrong impressions in the first place. They did not clarify. If they take further precipitate action such as approaching tabloids, it is being irresponsible and the onus is hence on any outsiders who peek in and observe students (w/o permission) and form such judgments and not actually on the students playing poker cards for non-gambling purposes.”
ORZ OTL ORZ OTL ORZ OTL ORZ OTL
“Consider this: If you did not do anything wrong, do you have to care about what others think about you? By being paranoid and fearing that the public will think bad of you is unnecessary. If you are not doing anything wrong by not gambling, what is so wrong about playing cards? I hereby apologise for posting any unacceptable-to-your-philosophies stuff here. You are free to challenge my viewpoint to the core.”
“I agree. For one, since there is no way of making sure that what people are doing is not gambling (e.g. I can make a gamble that I will reach school between 0600 and 0605 and yet teachers have no way of telling), why not just allow it?”
“i fully support this idea. the school should allow games such as bridge and place its trust in its students.”
idk la. to me, the school always has had rules, but no enforcers. it’s always up to the students to do what they want, the rules are more like guidelines. honestly status quo is good what, play secretly, see teacher then keep.
graduation off key lol. and i cant be seen

“Can God make a stone so heavy he can’t lift it? Huh? Huh? Huh???
People just use God as something to attribute fortunate coincidences to and look for in times of misfortune, making their religion a form of escapism from the real world.
People believe in God so that they have a purpose and direction in life.
People that believe in God use it as an easy way out to explain everything in life as either a blessing or a punishment.
The Bible was made up by the Jewish people in order to prove their superiority over their Babylonian, and later Roman conquerors.
Along the way, the Jewish people planted cleverly designed pieces of evidence such that historians would believe that a person called Jesus actually existed. The presence of numerous alleged pieces of historical evidence supporting the accuracy of the Bible shows the extent to which these Jewish people were willing to go to create a believable fantasy story of their Messiah, working to create pieces of evidence such as architecture and writings that would, in the future, support their belief.
In fact, the Jewish people even somehow managed to bribe Roman historians such as Cornelius Tacitus and Flavius Josephus to write pieces of history that would attempt to convince their future generations of the legitimacy of this claim.
20th century figures such as Pio of Pietrelcina that exhibited supernatural abilities such as stigmata and healing somehow managed to bribe and buy over all the scientists that claimed that his abilities were for real.
All the existing Christians in the world today, more than 2 billion of them, must be either suffering from some severe emotional or mental trauma or simply mentally weak, since they seem to be unable to find any direction and purpose in life other than God.
All the existing Christians in the world today, more than 2 billion of them, are either mentally deranged or suffer from some sort of chronic lying habit since they routinely make wild and ridiculous claims about God working in their lives, being able to talk to God, being healed from incurable diseases through prayer, et cetera.
All the existing Christians in the world today, more than 2 billion of them, must be under intense mental stress in order to need to use God as a form of escapism from the misfortunes in their life.
God is hard to believe in.”
i was reading failblog comments today. christians think that Satanists worship Satan. i was ._.
in a sense, their religion is nothing about the Christian concept of Satan. It’s just a different perception of what humans should do.
“LaVey points out the Hebraic origin of the word “Satan” as a term to mean “adversary”, not only applied to a supernatural being but to any person who is your opponent. He likewise describes the mythological and literary significance of Satan in history, from the Greek Pan to the “scapegoat” used to absorb men’s sins to the co-opting of pagan deities and devils by Christianity.
LaVey’s final assessment is that as Satan and all the devils have represented man’s carnal nature made sinful, and the opposition of everything from servile god-worship to conformity, Satan as a literary and mythological figure is the ideal symbol for a religion that exalts man’s carnal and independent nature. LaVey’s view of Satan might be best compared to John Milton’s literary Satan, a proud and independent beast.”
if i’m not wrong, it’s about being independent and powerful, doing what u feel is right. and there was this conspiracy theory that really made me lol-ed.
“It begins by suggesting that the Seven Deadly Sins are in fact all instinctual to human nature and not sinful at all. It states that they are all unavoidable urges of mankind, carefully selected by Christianity to ensure that all men will inevitably sin, as no one can avoid engaging in these instinctive urges. LaVey submits that this is a device to guarantee that humans within the Christian religious framework will surely sin and have no choice but to beg God for forgiveness; therefore, dependence upon the Church is assured.”
i mean, it actually makes more sense than Christianity.
and let’s just say, like nicholas points out, there is basis for christianity. but to me, it’s a fake basis.
one thing i don’t understand is, who is this jesus christ to forgive u for ur sins? i mean, yeah, let’s say he died for you. any friend can do that, heck, even you yourself can.
let’s say, u know, i watched this drama serial, Yang Ye committed suicided because the Song emperor did not trust him.
OMFG IF I CAN PROVE HIS EXISTENCE LET’S WORSHIP HIM LULUL!
eh, but qu yuan committed suicide to show patriotism also
LET’S WORSHIP QU YUAN LULULUL
eh, but yue fei defended the country like fuck also
LET’S WORSHIP YUE FEI LULULULUL
i mean, SO MANY PPL FREAKING DID MORE, and u wanna worship christ because uhm because…
and when i read about islamic terrorism, the terrorists do not mind killing innocent people because after they die, if they were good, they go to heaven, if they were bad, they go to hell. how is that any worse than christians? why don’t we hate christians as much as christians hate muslims?
but i think the root of disgust for christianity stems from their insistence that they are right and the rest are deluded when they aren’t doing anything right in the first place.
and so they fight with jews. because of their religion. thats what christ taught u? buddhism, taoism, islam, hinduism, in their religion itself there is nothing about hating another religion. how then is christianity less egotistical than satanism?
and from nicholas’ substantiation, it looks likes it’s only right because there is more than 2 billion christians.
this is a rant so its very incoherent lol but i dont care. im a buddhist who believes in satanism and worshipping the invisible pink unicorn so maybe i just have different values. hypocrisy isnt one of them.

Valse des amoureux
Une petite valse d’amoureux,
A little lover’s waltz,
Rejouez-la-moi encore une fois–
Play it for me once more.
Je voudrais l’écouter encore un peu
I want to listen to it a little more
Comme pour la première fois.
As if for the first time.
Et si vous aimez cette melodie,
And if you like this melody,
Allons danser! ou bien chantez!
Dance, or sing!
Vous retrouverez toute la magie
You’ll rediscover all the magic
Des petits bals de l’été.
Of summer’s little dances.
Et bientôt musiciens, balladins et poètes
And soon musicians, balladeers, and poets
Vous diront, oh, combien ils aiment votre chanson.
Will tell you, oh, how much they love your song.
L’accordéon bien malin dans un brin de folie
The accordion, mischievous in a bit of madness,
Rejouera cristalin sans arrêt cette melodie.
Will replay this melody without end, clear as crystal.
Et quand nous ne serons rien que nous deux,
And when we are only we two
Que toi et moi, embrasse-moi.
Just you and I, hold me tight
Nous serons toujours aussi amoureux,
We will always be this much in love,
Ecoute, c’est merveilleux.
Listen, it’s marvelous
Cette roman c’est tout comme un avoeu.
This romance is just like a confession,
Rappele-toi que bien des fois
Remember how often
Tu le voudras et tu rechanteras–
You’ll want it, and you’ll sing it again–
La valse des amoureux!
The Lover’s Waltz!
Les musiciens n’y sont pour rien,
The musicians are here for nothing,
Mais ils me font frissonner chaque fois
But they make me shiver each time
Qu’ils jouent cette valse en toute grâce;
They play this waltz so gracefully.
Je pourrais l’écouter jusqu’à demain.
I could listen to it until tomorrow.
