“Can God make a stone so heavy he can’t lift it? Huh? Huh? Huh???

People just use God as something to attribute fortunate coincidences to and look for in times of misfortune, making their religion a form of escapism from the real world.

People believe in God so that they have a purpose and direction in life.

People that believe in God use it as an easy way out to explain everything in life as either a blessing or a punishment.

The Bible was made up by the Jewish people in order to prove their superiority over their Babylonian, and later Roman conquerors.

Along the way, the Jewish people planted cleverly designed pieces of evidence such that historians would believe that a person called Jesus actually existed. The presence of numerous alleged pieces of historical evidence supporting the accuracy of the Bible shows the extent to which these Jewish people were willing to go to create a believable fantasy story of their Messiah, working to create pieces of evidence such as architecture and writings that would, in the future, support their belief.

In fact, the Jewish people even somehow managed to bribe Roman historians such as Cornelius Tacitus and Flavius Josephus to write pieces of history that would attempt to convince their future generations of the legitimacy of this claim.

20th century figures such as Pio of Pietrelcina that exhibited supernatural abilities such as stigmata and healing somehow managed to bribe and buy over all the scientists that claimed that his abilities were for real.

All the existing Christians in the world today, more than 2 billion of them, must be either suffering from some severe emotional or mental trauma or simply mentally weak, since they seem to be unable to find any direction and purpose in life other than God.

All the existing Christians in the world today, more than 2 billion of them, are either mentally deranged or suffer from some sort of chronic lying habit since they routinely make wild and ridiculous claims about God working in their lives, being able to talk to God, being healed from incurable diseases through prayer, et cetera.

All the existing Christians in the world today, more than 2 billion of them, must be under intense mental stress in order to need to use God as a form of escapism from the misfortunes in their life.

God is hard to believe in.”

i was reading failblog comments today. christians think that Satanists worship Satan. i was ._.
in a sense, their religion is nothing about the Christian concept of Satan. It’s just a different perception of what humans should do.

“LaVey points out the Hebraic origin of the word “Satan” as a term to mean “adversary”, not only applied to a supernatural being but to any person who is your opponent. He likewise describes the mythological and literary significance of Satan in history, from the Greek Pan to the “scapegoat” used to absorb men’s sins to the co-opting of pagan deities and devils by Christianity.

LaVey’s final assessment is that as Satan and all the devils have represented man’s carnal nature made sinful, and the opposition of everything from servile god-worship to conformity, Satan as a literary and mythological figure is the ideal symbol for a religion that exalts man’s carnal and independent nature. LaVey’s view of Satan might be best compared to John Milton’s literary Satan, a proud and independent beast.”

if i’m not wrong, it’s about being independent and powerful, doing what u feel is right. and there was this conspiracy theory that really made me lol-ed.

“It begins by suggesting that the Seven Deadly Sins are in fact all instinctual to human nature and not sinful at all. It states that they are all unavoidable urges of mankind, carefully selected by Christianity to ensure that all men will inevitably sin, as no one can avoid engaging in these instinctive urges. LaVey submits that this is a device to guarantee that humans within the Christian religious framework will surely sin and have no choice but to beg God for forgiveness; therefore, dependence upon the Church is assured.”

i mean, it actually makes more sense than Christianity.

and let’s just say, like nicholas points out, there is basis for christianity. but to me, it’s a fake basis.

one thing i don’t understand is, who is this jesus christ to forgive u for ur sins? i mean, yeah, let’s say he died for you. any friend can do that, heck, even you yourself can.

let’s say, u know, i watched this drama serial, Yang Ye committed suicided because the Song emperor did not trust him.

OMFG IF I CAN PROVE HIS EXISTENCE LET’S WORSHIP HIM LULUL!

eh, but qu yuan committed suicide to show patriotism also

LET’S WORSHIP QU YUAN LULULUL

eh, but yue fei defended the country like fuck also

LET’S WORSHIP YUE FEI LULULULUL

i mean, SO MANY PPL FREAKING DID MORE, and u wanna worship christ because uhm because…

and when i read about islamic terrorism, the terrorists do not mind killing innocent people because after they die, if they were good, they go to heaven, if they were bad, they go to hell. how is that any worse than christians? why don’t we hate christians as much as christians hate muslims?

but i think the root of disgust for christianity stems from their insistence that they are right and the rest are deluded when they aren’t doing anything right in the first place.

and so they fight with jews. because of their religion. thats what christ taught u? buddhism, taoism, islam, hinduism, in their religion itself there is nothing about hating another religion. how then is christianity less egotistical than satanism?

and from nicholas’ substantiation, it looks likes it’s only right because there is more than 2 billion christians.

this is a rant so its very incoherent lol but i dont care. im a buddhist who believes in satanism and worshipping the invisible pink unicorn so maybe i just have different values. hypocrisy isnt one of them.

Easy. God’s one and only Son.

“why don’t we hate christians as much as christians hate muslims?”

Who are you to say that Christians hate Muslims?

“im a buddhist who believes in satanism”

So is it Buddhism or satanism that teaches you to despise and hate Christianity and Muslims/Islam?

  2. Nicholas Says:

actually you dont make much sense. maybe if you use punctuation or something it’ll be easier to read.

  3. kuanyue Says:

this strong insistence comes from the fact that we know our God is true and real. perhaps it came across as a perception that we think we’re superior to other religions, but really, it’s not about superiority.

  4. Nicholas Says:

    1. “LaVey points out the Hebraic origin of the word “Satan” …

…Christian religious framework will surely sin and have no choice but to beg God for forgiveness; therefore, dependence upon the Church is assured.”

don’t you agree that the entire basis of the premise of satanism is the legitimacy of christianity? then in that case the only way to acknowledge satanism is to accept the legitimacy of christianity, and somehow argue that god exists but must be ignored for the sake of the independence of humans.

    2. “and when i read about islamic terrorism, the terrorists do not mind killing innocent people because after they die, if they were good, they go to heaven, if they were bad, they go to hell.”

islam =/= islamic fundamentalism. saying that is like saying everyone in the world likes to have sex with animals just because some people have sex with animals. you cant use an extreme to describe the whole.

    3. “but i think the root of disgust for christianity stems from their insistence that they are right and the rest are deluded when they aren’t doing anything right in the first place”

you cant really make generalizations like that. at least list out some people that insist that they are right and the rest are deluded when they aren’t doing anything right in the first place.

    4. “and so they fight with jews. because of their religion. thats what christ taught u? buddhism, taoism, islam, hinduism, in their religion itself there is nothing about hating another religion. how then is christianity less egotistical than satanism?”

Very few christians fight with jews because of their religion. sex with animals. same explanation.

very few christians hate other religions. sex with animals. same explanation.

you don’t even know what satanism is yet, you just read it to write this blog post. either when you meet one or become one, then will you be qualified to say that.

    5. “and from nicholas’ substantiation, it looks likes it’s only right because there is more than 2 billion christians.”

so all of us are lying?

note: you cant say that christians think every other religion is lying. because you don’t even know what christianity is yet.

  5. jiakun Says:

“this is a rant so its very incoherent lol but i dont care.”

    And you just disproved yourself.

“God is hard to believe in.”

And I totally agree with that, and it’s why people stand in awe of God’s power all the time. And also because believing in God totally changes your life.

  6. hauntho Says:

at the end of the day,

why do you care? just enjoy life.

  7. wq Says:

    Wa shaun’s profound exaltation.

Basically, everyone is entitled to his/her beliefs.
We are not one to criticise them for believing in God.
It is not escapism or anything, but heck if they feel, I dunno, whatever they feel when they immerse themselves in the religion, it’s fine with me.

It is true that Christians think their religion is correct.
But hey, that’s what all religions think.
If you do not think it is correct how do you believe in it?
I quote Marilyn Brewers lol (from history mugging)
“Inherent familiarity with ethnocentrism results in viewing the world in such a way that one’s point of view is seen as the correct reference point for evaluating all other points of view”
There. Inherently they will find that their religion correct.

But this does not make them hate other religions.
Hatred DID occur momentarily after September 11.
Because (quote Jorgan Nielsen from my HRP)
a common Western mistake is to link all Muslims, irrespective of geographical origin and religious practices with transnational terrorist organisations like Al Qaeda.

In fact, it is not even a matter of Christians vs. Muslims.
It was USA vs. Al Qaeda.
Which sort of spread around the world.
But you can ask any Christian around you now, and 99% of the time at least, they will say they do not hate Muslims.

    So there you go.
A rant when I am escaping from mugging lit cause i dno how to mug xD

  8. hauntho Says:

Niao when you say you dnno how to mug but actually you do. -.-

  9. julian Says:

need to be so worked up sia. if believing in christianity is totally alright with u, my not believing in christianity is not alright with u? is there a need to shoot yourselves in the foot so blatantly.

“actually you dont make much sense. maybe if you use punctuation or something it’ll be easier to read.”
aww. its ok. dun read it then.

“Who are you to say that Christians hate Muslims?”
“But you can ask any Christian around you now, and 99% of the time at least, they will say they do not hate Muslims.”
You sure about the West? like weiqi has said its a common western mistake. maybe i blew it out of proportion, but im fairly convinced that such a perception isnt that rare.

“perhaps it came across as a perception that we think we’re superior to other religions, but really, it’s not about superiority.”
i looked at nicholas comment and i really wondered.

“don’t you agree that the entire basis of the premise of satanism is the legitimacy of christianity? then in that case the only way to acknowledge satanism is to accept the legitimacy of christianity, and somehow argue that god exists but must be ignored for the sake of the independence of humans.”
obviously i disagree. read again. satanism isnt sth directly related to christianity. it’s like, believing that u can commit what the christians perceive to be “sins” responsibly, and that there is no god. so in that case, the entire basis could be said to be on the illegitimacy of christianity or in fact, of all religions. its kind of an atheism with religious aspects.

    “islam =/= islamic fundamentalism.”
obviously i nv said it did.

“you cant really make generalizations like that. at least list out some people that insist that they are right and the rest are deluded when they aren’t doing anything right in the first place.”
kuan yue. jiakun. all. christians think non-christians are not willing to accept christ. that non-christians should so that jesus can forgive them and they become better. honestly, its up to you to think that u are sinful and need christ. stop asking others to follow suit.

“Very few christians fight with jews because of their religion. sex with animals. same explanation.

very few christians hate other religions. sex with animals. same explanation.”

few i must say. really few. seems everyone has been muddled up about this eh? and i dun mean other religions, but jews.

“you don’t even know what satanism is yet, you just read it to write this blog post. ”
oops i read about it two years ago. sorry.

“so all of us are lying?”
so all of you are telling the truth? ok lor. everyone else on the earth must be lying then.

“And you just disproved yourself. ”
    not really. in fact, no.

“Basically, everyone is entitled to his/her beliefs.
We are not one to criticise them for believing in God.”
mine was just a response to nic’s post la.. just that sarcasm isnt nice.

  10. Nicholas Says:

“need to be so worked up sia. if believing in christianity is totally alright with u, my not believing in christianity is not alright with u? is there a need to shoot yourselves in the foot so blatantly.”

    dont understand this at all.

“i looked at nicholas comment and i really wondered.”

    which one?

“kuan yue. jiakun. all. christians think non-christians are not willing to accept christ. that non-christians should so that jesus can forgive them and they become better. honestly, its up to you to think that u are sinful and need christ. stop asking others to follow suit.”

there isnt a single accurate sentence in these 7 sentences.

“few i must say. really few. seems everyone has been muddled up about this eh? and i dun mean other religions, but jews.”

honestly im not sure where you got that from. christians fight jews and hate other religions?

“everyone else on the earth must be lying then.”

if i write down a correct answer in my maths test, and someone else writes down a wrong answer, he’s lying? ohmy.

  11. jiakun Says:

Julian firstly I think you’re the only one who’s getting worked up here..

Secondly, I don’t see alot of sense (or dollars) in what you said..

  12. bing Says:

which is why religion is not to be dabbled with.

  13. julian Says:

    nicholas.
ur reply is redundant. if u dun understand, then dun bother.

“if i write down a correct answer in my maths test, and someone else writes down a wrong answer, he’s lying? ohmy.”
u say a statement. i show u what assumptions ur statement made. and u shot ur statement down. so how about, u just clear ur head

  14. Nicholas Says:

discuss with me when you see me.

  15. LTTE. MAJ Says:

Allah is the one and only God, and Mohammed is his Prophet.

  16. LTTE. MAJ Says:

“People who turn away from Islam and do not repent but wage war and create mischief in the land are also considered as murderers. “But if they break their oaths after making compacts and taunt you for your faith, you should fight with these ringleaders of disbelief because their oaths are not trustworthy: it may be that the sword alone will restrain them” ([Qur'an 9:12]). And in Surah Al-Nahl, “But whosoever accepts disbelief willingly, he incurs God’s Wrath, and there is severe torment for all such people”

  17. LTTE. MAJ Says:

….sorry about that. couldn’t resist. anyway. I’m going to behead Nicholas and Ky for you since they have insulted Mohammed and denied the veracity of the Quran.
