“Can God make a stone so heavy he can’t lift it? Huh? Huh? Huh???
People just use God as something to attribute fortunate coincidences to and look for in times of misfortune, making their religion a form of escapism from the real world.
People believe in God so that they have a purpose and direction in life.
People that believe in God use it as an easy way out to explain everything in life as either a blessing or a punishment.
The Bible was made up by the Jewish people in order to prove their superiority over their Babylonian, and later Roman conquerors.
Along the way, the Jewish people planted cleverly designed pieces of evidence such that historians would believe that a person called Jesus actually existed. The presence of numerous alleged pieces of historical evidence supporting the accuracy of the Bible shows the extent to which these Jewish people were willing to go to create a believable fantasy story of their Messiah, working to create pieces of evidence such as architecture and writings that would, in the future, support their belief.
In fact, the Jewish people even somehow managed to bribe Roman historians such as Cornelius Tacitus and Flavius Josephus to write pieces of history that would attempt to convince their future generations of the legitimacy of this claim.
20th century figures such as Pio of Pietrelcina that exhibited supernatural abilities such as stigmata and healing somehow managed to bribe and buy over all the scientists that claimed that his abilities were for real.
All the existing Christians in the world today, more than 2 billion of them, must be either suffering from some severe emotional or mental trauma or simply mentally weak, since they seem to be unable to find any direction and purpose in life other than God.
All the existing Christians in the world today, more than 2 billion of them, are either mentally deranged or suffer from some sort of chronic lying habit since they routinely make wild and ridiculous claims about God working in their lives, being able to talk to God, being healed from incurable diseases through prayer, et cetera.
All the existing Christians in the world today, more than 2 billion of them, must be under intense mental stress in order to need to use God as a form of escapism from the misfortunes in their life.
God is hard to believe in.”
i was reading failblog comments today. christians think that Satanists worship Satan. i was ._.
in a sense, their religion is nothing about the Christian concept of Satan. It’s just a different perception of what humans should do.
“LaVey points out the Hebraic origin of the word “Satan” as a term to mean “adversary”, not only applied to a supernatural being but to any person who is your opponent. He likewise describes the mythological and literary significance of Satan in history, from the Greek Pan to the “scapegoat” used to absorb men’s sins to the co-opting of pagan deities and devils by Christianity.
LaVey’s final assessment is that as Satan and all the devils have represented man’s carnal nature made sinful, and the opposition of everything from servile god-worship to conformity, Satan as a literary and mythological figure is the ideal symbol for a religion that exalts man’s carnal and independent nature. LaVey’s view of Satan might be best compared to John Milton’s literary Satan, a proud and independent beast.”
if i’m not wrong, it’s about being independent and powerful, doing what u feel is right. and there was this conspiracy theory that really made me lol-ed.
“It begins by suggesting that the Seven Deadly Sins are in fact all instinctual to human nature and not sinful at all. It states that they are all unavoidable urges of mankind, carefully selected by Christianity to ensure that all men will inevitably sin, as no one can avoid engaging in these instinctive urges. LaVey submits that this is a device to guarantee that humans within the Christian religious framework will surely sin and have no choice but to beg God for forgiveness; therefore, dependence upon the Church is assured.”
i mean, it actually makes more sense than Christianity.
and let’s just say, like nicholas points out, there is basis for christianity. but to me, it’s a fake basis.
one thing i don’t understand is, who is this jesus christ to forgive u for ur sins? i mean, yeah, let’s say he died for you. any friend can do that, heck, even you yourself can.
let’s say, u know, i watched this drama serial, Yang Ye committed suicided because the Song emperor did not trust him.
OMFG IF I CAN PROVE HIS EXISTENCE LET’S WORSHIP HIM LULUL!
eh, but qu yuan committed suicide to show patriotism also
LET’S WORSHIP QU YUAN LULULUL
eh, but yue fei defended the country like fuck also
LET’S WORSHIP YUE FEI LULULULUL
i mean, SO MANY PPL FREAKING DID MORE, and u wanna worship christ because uhm because…
and when i read about islamic terrorism, the terrorists do not mind killing innocent people because after they die, if they were good, they go to heaven, if they were bad, they go to hell. how is that any worse than christians? why don’t we hate christians as much as christians hate muslims?
but i think the root of disgust for christianity stems from their insistence that they are right and the rest are deluded when they aren’t doing anything right in the first place.
and so they fight with jews. because of their religion. thats what christ taught u? buddhism, taoism, islam, hinduism, in their religion itself there is nothing about hating another religion. how then is christianity less egotistical than satanism?
and from nicholas’ substantiation, it looks likes it’s only right because there is more than 2 billion christians.
this is a rant so its very incoherent lol but i dont care. im a buddhist who believes in satanism and worshipping the invisible pink unicorn so maybe i just have different values. hypocrisy isnt one of them.
